The high saturation is almost only seen in fired yellow sapphires. This is based on the knowledge of the refractive power of various crystals. The thickness of the gem should be within a few millimeters to deepen the saturation of the gem without darkening it. The use of diamond faceting makes the rectangular gem that should have only one side of the table increase by dozens of times.
